Kids' Night Out
This quarterly event is held on a Friday evening from 6:00-10:30 p.m. and is open to kids ages four-13 years old. Activities will include themed games, crafts, dinner, popcorn and a movie. Kids can bring a blanket and a pillow to relax on during the movie. Upcoming dates are:
- February 17th - Harry Potter
- May 19th - Star Wars
- August 18th - Game Night
- October 20th - Spooktacular

Holiday Kid Drop, Parent Shop
This annual event will be held on Saturday, December 9th, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Parents can get their holiday shopping done while their kids ages four-12 years old enjoy a day that is all about them. We will be making holiday gifts, decorating holiday goodies, enjoying breakfast and lunch, playing games and watching a holiday movie. Movies in the Park
This new, free event will feature a movie shown each month at a different park. Participants should bring their own lawn chairs and blankets and can enjoy food vendors and the Bamboo Kids Club. Movies begin at dusk. For more information, please call 562-383-4205. The 2016 schedule is:

Mother & Daughter Par-TeaJoin us for a memorable afternoon for little girls and their moms at the La Habra Community Center ballroom. The event will include a petite lunch, sweet treats, tea, games and more. Open to girls ages age three through 13 years with an accompanying mom, grandmother, aunt or guardian. Tickets must be purchased in advance. The fee is $20 per person. Date is Saturday, August 26th, 1:00-3:00 p.m. Limited tickets are available, so register early. American Crown Circus: Circus Osorio USA returns to La Habra's Marketplace shopping Center for its second year. The family-owned circus is a one stage traveling operation with high wire acts, acrobats, magicians and clowns, that owner Roberto Osorio describes as "a Las Vegas-style production that is a cross between Cirque de Soleil and the more traditional family circuses." Dates for 2017 to be announced. Tickets will be available at the circus.
A Night at the Museum
Join the La Habra Recreation staff for its second epic overnight takeover of the Children's Museum at La Habra on Friday, July 28th through Saturday,July 29th, 6:30 p.m.-9:30 a.m.! Fun family activities will include games, crafts, storytelling, a movie and more. Dinner, breakfast and snacks will be served. Open to children ages four through 12 years with an accompanying parent/guardian. The fee is $20 per person, and preregistration is necessary. Limited space is available, so register early. Mother & Son Bowling Bash
Join us for our first annual Mother & Son Bowling Bash on Saturday, September 2nd, 1:00-3:00 p.m. This event is open to boys ages 4-18 years old with an accompanying mom, grandmother, aunt or other adult female guardian. Daddy/Daughter DanceJoin us for a fun-filled afternoon for girls and their dads at the La Habra Community Center ballroom. The event will include dinner, dessert, dancing, games and more. This year's theme is "Luau". Open to girls ages age three through 13 years with an accompanying dad, grandfather, uncle or adult male guardian. Tickets must be purchased in advance. The fee is $20 per person. Dates are Saturday, October 6th or Sunday, October 7th, 2017, 6:00-9:00 p.m. (choose one or the other to attend). Limited tickets are available, so register early.
