SAVE-the-DATE for the Annual LA HABRA VETERANS DAY EVENT!

To celebrate La Habra's designation as a Purple Heart City, businesses and surrounding communities are invited to the City's annual LA HABRA VETERANS DAY EVENT on Tuesday, November 11, 2014.  Chartered by Congress in 1958, the Military Order of the Purple Heart is composed of military men and women who received the Purple Heart Medal for wounds suffered in combat.  In addition to its focus on Purple Heart recipients, this year's event will also focus on the Korean War.  Jay Johnstone, former Marine, professional baseball player, radio announcer and author, will be the guest speaker.  If you are a veteran who was awarded the Purple Heart, please contact the Community Center at 562-383-4200 so we can recognize you at the event.  Additional information on the event is also available at that number.

This is a FREE event. 
Location: La Habra Community Center, 101 W. La Habra Blvd.
Breakfast is from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Program begins at 11:00 a.m.

    The Planning Department now provides a listing of pending development projects which require discretionary permits from the Planning Commission and or City Council. The list is updated monthly.

    Copies of the Planning Commission Agenda and Minutes are available online on the Agendas & Minutes webpage. Planning Commission meetings are held every second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.

  • Operation Santa Helps La Habra Families In Need

    The annual Operation Santa program makes the holidays a little bit brighter for local families in need.  Operation Santa accepts donations of non-perishable food, toys, gift cards and monetary contributions to provide food and gifts to the families identified by the local City school districts and the City's Child Development programs.  These items are collected and sorted at the Operation Santa headquarters by volunteers and City staff.   The items are distributed to the families at a special event at the La Habra Community Center.

  • Depot Theater's "Dracula" Is Just Right for the Season

    The Depot Theater is currently performing its second show, Dracula, chosen especially for the season.  Dates are: Thursday, October 30th,  Friday, October 31st, and Saturday, November 1st at 8:01 p.m. and Sunday, November 2nd at 5:01 p.m..  Advance tickets are $15 for students and military and $25 general admission; tickets are $30 at the at the door for everyone.
