HICAP Comes to La Habra

HICAP, which stands for Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program, is coming to the La Habra Community Services Center, beginning on January 11, 2012.  This program offers individual counseling on Medicare and related issues. Continue reading more

DMV Offers Seniors Safe Driving Tips Online

StoplightThe DMV has updated its Web site, www.DMV.ca.gov, and a wealth of information and services are now offered online, specifically targeting the senior driver.  One of the newest features is the "Senior Guide to Safe Driving", which offers practical strategies for older drivers, their friends, family and caregivers. Senior Lunch Program

A hot lunch is served Monday through Friday at 12:00 noon at the La Habra Community Center, located at 101 W. La Habra Boulevard.  Operated by Community SeniorServ, the lunch program provides lunches for seniors 60 years of age or older for a suggested $3.00 donation, and for those under 60 at a cost of $5.00.  Copies of the monthly lunch menu are available in the lunch room or at the Community Center's front counter.

La Habra Shuttle

Shuttle Sign

The City of La Habra provides a transportation service, the La Habra Shuttle, that is a curb-to-curb service operating within La Habra and a half-mile radius outside the City.  Seniors 65 years and older, and persons with disabilities, who are residents of the City of La Habra are eligible.  A registration form is required. You may download a copy of the Ride with Pride brochure by clicking here.
