Animal Control officers are responsible for enforcing state laws and municipal codes concerning animals, managing all complaints related to animals, and assisting officers in resolving a variety of problems involving animals. All matters involving live animals have top priority and every effort is made to keep lost pets safe and to return them to their owners. Looking for a Lost Pet? Adopting a New Friend?
The La Habra Police Department's Animal Services Division provides field services for the City of La Habra, which includes responding to calls, picking up stray or injured animals, licensing pets, and other animal care-related services. The City is proud to partner with the Inland Valley Humane Society for animal sheltering. Animals taken into care by the City's Animal Services personnel are transported to the Inland Valley Humane Society, located at 500 Humane Way in Pomona.
